Delete your Bloom Plant Care account
Bloom Plant Care is made by Solac Labs LLC. You can delete your Bloom account and its data at any time, in the app or by email.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Bloom Plant Care and sign in.
- Go to the You tab.
- Tap Delete account…, then Continue.
- Enter your password to confirm it's you, then tap Continue. If you use Sign in with Apple on iPhone, there is no password step: Apple asks you to confirm after the next step.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete my account.
When you see “Account deleted”, the deletion is done. These steps work on both Android and iPhone.
Ask us to delete your account by email
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in:
- Email [email protected] from the email address you use for Bloom.
- Use the subject “Delete my Bloom account”.
We may reply to confirm the request comes from the account owner. We complete verified requests within 30 days and email you when it's done.
Delete some of your data without deleting your account
- Plants: open a plant in the app and delete it. This removes it from your collection.
- Anything else: email [email protected] from your Bloom email address and say what you want deleted, for example particular photos, Plant Health records or care history. We complete verified requests within 30 days.
Some records linked to a deleted plant, such as its stored photos, stay until you delete your account or ask us to remove them.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- your sign-in identity (email address and password)
- your profile (display name and onboarding answers)
- your saved plants, care history and reminders
- your identification and Plant Health records
- your notification settings and device push tokens
We also try to remove your stored plant photos and clear any of your photos used as reference images in Bloom's plant catalog. If a photo file can't be removed automatically, contact us and we'll remove it.
In the app, all of this happens by the time you see “Account deleted”. By email, it happens when we complete your request.
What we keep, and for how long
Some records stay after deletion. This is what stays, for how long and why.
- A deletion marker. We keep the deleted account ID and the time of deletion, so an old signed-in device can't recreate the account. This is a security measure. It becomes eligible for removal after 7 days and is removed at our next deletion cleanup, so 7 days is not a guaranteed deadline.
- A RevenueCat cleanup record. We keep the deleted account ID with a record of the request to remove your email and name from RevenueCat, so a delayed update can't restore them. It holds no email or name and has no set removal date.
- Server and database logs. Logs can include your account ID. We use them for security and to investigate service problems. Fly.io documents 7 days for its log search, and Supabase documents up to 90 days for API and database logs, depending on plan. Audit logs or exported logs stored separately may stay longer.
- Database backups. Copies of your data stay in Supabase backups, for security and disaster recovery. Supabase documents up to 30 days for daily backups, depending on plan.
- Crash reports (Sentry). Crash and error reports can include your account ID. We use them to fix crashes and investigate security problems. Sentry documents up to 90 days for these events. Copies can last longer in its backups, which it deletes 90 days after creation.
- AI analysis (Anthropic). Anthropic says it normally deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days. If its safety systems flag content as violating its usage policy, it keeps the inputs and outputs for up to 2 years and safety scores for up to 7 years. It may keep content longer where the law requires it or to combat policy violations.
- Subscription records (RevenueCat). RevenueCat may hold your account ID, your purchase and subscription history, and the email and name Bloom sent it. Account deletion queues removal of the email and name. It does not ask RevenueCat to delete the rest, so that has no fixed end date and stays until we ask. After a deletion request, RevenueCat says it keeps data only as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
- App analytics (Amplitude). Amplitude may hold app events linked to your account ID and analytics device ID. We use these events to understand how the app is used. Account deletion does not send Amplitude a deletion request, and we have not confirmed an automatic deletion date for our Amplitude project, so assume they stay until we ask Amplitude to delete them.
- Purchase records (Google Play and Apple). Google Play and Apple keep their own purchase records under their own policies.
To have Amplitude, Sentry or RevenueCat records deleted sooner, email [email protected] from your Bloom email address and we'll ask those providers to delete them. Amplitude says it processes deletion requests within 30 days.
